Contest Objective:
To encourage students and graduates of filmmaking or journalism schools to show
their content on Grapeflix and to directly experience the benefits of showing
their content under an easy, secure, and profitable web environment.
Contest Period:
October 1, 2006 (12 am PDT) until December 30, 2006 (11:59 pm PST).
Choosing the Winner:
The winner is the contest participant whose movie has registered the highest
US$ sales in any given week during the contest period.
For purposes of this contest, a week is the period running from Sunday (12 am
PST/PDT) - Saturday (12 am PST/PDT).
Prize:
$2,600 cash prize and free publicity on Grapeflix for the entire month of
January 2007.
The winner will be announced in the Grapeflix website within seven (7) days
from the end of the contest. The winner will also be informed via his/her
registered e-mail, or by phone, or by registered mail to his/her address.
In case of the unlikely event of a tie, all will be declared winners and divide
the cash prize equally.
The winner is liable for paying all taxes associated with winning the prize.

Eligibility:
To qualify in this contest, you must:
1. Be a registered Grapeflix member. As a Grapeflix member, the
contest participant agrees to be bound by the Grapeflix Membership Agreement,
the Terms of Use, and the Privacy Policy ("Agreements"). In case a contest
participant is found to have violated the Agreements at any time during the
contest period, the contest participant will automatically be disqualified, or,
if already declared the winner, will be deemed to have forfeited the title and
prize.
2. Be currently enrolled in any qualifying film school or journalism school or
having graduated from one no more than 5 years ago (2001). A qualifying school
is any accredited film school, or in the process of being accredited, in the US
or abroad.
3. Have opened a Grapeflix theater anytime before or during the contest period.
4. Have at least one for-pay content (e.g., movie, music, video) available for
public viewing in the Grapeflix theater and officially submitted in the contest
via the electronic contest application form. All genres, whether shorts or
features are welcome. Submitted films must have been completed no earlier than
January 1, 1997.
5. Be the owner of your contest entry and that such is your original and novel
work (or you otherwise have all necessary rights to make it available for
inclusion at Grapeflix and the contest, and the advertising, marketing and
promotion thereof), and no other persons have any rights or interests
inconsistent with the Agreements.
6. Employees, agents and representatives of Grapeflix, Inc. and their immediate
family members (spouse and parents, siblings and children and their spouses)
and persons living in the same households of the above are not eligible to join
the contest. Failure to meet any of these eligibility
requirements disqualifies a winner from obtaining the 2006 Best Seller Award
and the cash prize.
Grapeflix reserves the right to amend the contest rules to maintain consistency
with applicable laws or the Agreements.

Procedure:
1. You must first register as a Grapeflix Member, open a theater, and
upload the movie/music/video you'd like to be included in the contest. For
quick, easy instructions on how to do these, check out our Help section: A.
Theaters / Movies.
2. Once you have a movie showing at Grapeflix, you can join the contest by
filling in our short electronic contest application form. A contest
participant's legal name must be indicated in the electronic contest
application form.
In the application form, you need to indicate the exact name of the movie you
want to be included in the contest. The mere fact that you have a movie showing
in your theater does not automatically entitle that movie to be included in the
contest.
You can enter additional movies in the contest by uploading them to your
theater and submitting another application.
Submit the application form electronically by clicking the submit button. Only
those who fill the form and submit it will be considered.
3. Once you have registered you movie, your movie needs to remain on public
display on Grapeflix until one week after the result of the contest is
announced.
If you remove/alter/modify your movie which you submitted to the contest at any
time during the contest, you automatically forfeit that movie's participation
in the contest.
If you would like to reinstate the movie in its original or modified version to
the contest, you must upload it to your theater and submit a new electronic
contest application form.
4. There are no entry fees to participate in the contest. Failure
to follow any of the procedures above for registration may disqualify a winner
to the 2006 Best Seller Award and the cash prize.
